Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I pick up my registration packet?
Participant packets (including your logo t-shirt and bandanna) can be picked up on Wednesday, September 12 from 4 to 7pm at The Rainbow Senior Living across from the Post Office on 1st Avenue North. You can also pick up packets at the registration booth on September 13 at the event starting at 5pm. If you are pre-registered, there is no need to stand in the registration lines. Go directly to the “Pre-Registered” area to obtain your packet.

I’m inviting some of my friends to register, too. How long do they have?
Online registration closes on September 9th at 10:00pm MDT. After that, registrations can be completed at The Rainbow during packet pickup hours (see above), or on the day of the event from 5 – 6:30pm.

Do I have to raise money in order to come to the event?
Strut Your Mutt is a fundraiser and we encourage everyone to join in. The more money raised by individuals and teams, the more we can do for animal welfare in Great Falls. You do not have to be a fundraiser to enjoy the event.

If someone gives me a donation by cash or check, what do I do with it?
You can bring donations you have collected to the Animal Foundation booth at the event. If you collect additional donations after September 13, mail them (checks only, please) to the Animal Foundation – Strut Your Mutt, PO Box 3426, Great Falls, MT 59403. If you collect cash, and would rather not replace it with a personal check for mailing purposes, you can bring cash to the Animal Foundation office. Please call Ellen at 727.7387 to arrange a time.

Who do people make their checks payable to?
AFGF SYM (Animal Foundation of Great Falls / Strut Your Mutt)

I would like some of the great prizes you are awarding for fund raising at the top levels, but I’ve just registered. How long do I have to raise pledges?
September 13, 2012 is the final day to turn in donations that count for fund raising prizes. Check out the prizes!

When/where do I get my fund raising prizes?
We are planning an Appreciation Party where prizes will be awarded. You will find details in your registration packet.

Do I have to have a dog to come to the event?
Absolutely not! Cat lovers are welcome to walk in honor of their feline friends. (As much as we love cats, this event is designed specifically for dogs. Please leave your feline friends at home for their safety.) Or your dog may not enjoy the company of other canines. We want everyone who loves animals and wants to support the cause, to come and enjoy Strut Your Mutt  with us.

What is a “Team?”
A team consists of two (2) or more paid registrants.

How do I start a Team?
1) Recruit friends, family, co-workers, clients with or without dogs; 2) get creative and choose a name for your Team – include this on your registration form; 3) make sure that every member of your Team has paid their registration fee; and 4) get ready to strut! Remember, CAT NAPPERS and LAZY DOGS can form teams too! Top fundraising teams will lead the parade!

Do I register a Team on the same Registration site?
Yes, all entrants register on the same site. Each member of the Team must register individually, and it is important that each member of the team selects the team name during the registration process.

How do I add members to a Team that is already formed?
Simply have them include the Team name with their paid registration.

Q:  How do we identify ourselves as a Team?
The possibilities are only limited by your creativity… create a team t-shirt, wear goofy hats, strut on stilts, etc.

Q: Why Strut Your Mutt in Great Falls, Montana?
